First Look: New MBR Paint Scheme

After two years of running with the original paint scheme, the Michalek Brothers Racing dragster has a brand new look for the 2011 season and beyond. Ever since my brother and I purchased this car I have wanted to invest some money into aligning the car’s appearance with the way that we have branded our racing team but the first priority was always getting the car to work properly before putting money in to the way it looked. After a successful final outing of the year last season, I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger and I hit the drawing board to come up with a new look for the MBR rear-engine dragster.

At long last, I am extremely proud to finally present the first images of the new paint scheme on the car as we continue preparations for the upcoming season.

The brand new Michalek Brothers Racing paint scheme puts the team logo and the clean black and white branding front and center with minimal, yet powerful graphics right alongside the cockpit. The other side of the car is identical with my brother's signature instead. (Click to enlarge)

The lighting in the garage was pretty harsh so it's kind of difficult to see, but the nose of the dragster has glossy black flames that overlay on top of the matte black base coat. (Click to enlarge)

A full, back view of the car as we inch closer to the start of our season. We just have a couple minor things to work on and we should be ready to race at the start of summer. (Click to enlarge)

One final zoomed out shot of the side of the car with my helmet in the foreground. This little bit of blue in the helmet will really pop when it's inside the cockpit. (Click to enlarge)
